When connecting the card to a supported Sony IP camera it adds wireless connectivity allowing the camera to operate on any wireless LAN. With a Compact Flash interface the SNCA-CFW1 works to IEEE802.11b 2.4Ghz wireless standards at speeds up to 11Mbps. The card has an internal wireless antenna and also provides a connection for an optional external antenna SNCA-AN1 (not supplied) to increase range.
