The 3Com Baseline Switch SFP Plus Family are “smart” cost-effectiveLayer 2 10/100 and 10/100/1000 Ethernet switches. These 16-, 24- and48-port switches provide a user-friendly web browser interface forswitch configuration and administration. With a low entry cost, theyoffer advanced features such as link aggregation, IEEE 802.1p class ofservice (CoS) traffic prioritization, and VLANs for greater scalability andsupport for business-critical applications - such as customer relationmanagement (CRM), supply chain management (SCM) and video.

Feature	Description
Smart browser-based user interface	The easy-to-use web-based interface allows even novice users to quicklyand confidently configure the switch during initial setup or normaloperation. In addition, the web interface features individual port-trafficmonitoring (port mirroring) and unique, quick-glance switch statusmonitoring. A new cable diagnostic tool lets users troubleshoot basicconnectivity cabling problems via the web management interface furthersimplifying network installation.
Wirespeed switching	These switches have non-blocking performance—all ports perform atwirespeed which helps to eliminate network traffic bottlenecks. Linkaggregation allows administrators to group any number of copper orfiber ports together to form an ultra-high bandwidth pipe that greatlyexpands bandwidth capacity to the network backbone. The switch alsosupports 802.1p for traffic prioritization and priority queuing, andVLANs, which segment the network by grouping users based on data ortraffic exchange requirements. These switching features ensure optimaluse of available bandwidth as traffic flow is directed according to theneeds of the business.
